She was born on 22 August 1990 in Sivasagar, Assam & belongs from middle-class Bengali Family. Her father passed away in 1997 & her mother is a homemaker & she belongs to an Assamese Family.
She did her schooling from Godhula Brown Memorial English High School, Sivasagar, Assam & completed her Graduation in Commerce. She has also done course in Jewellery Designing and Development From NIFT, Delhi.
She was first noticed in Dance Reality Show “Dance India Dance” Season 2. Later, she made her debut in Indian Television as Bani in NDTV Imagine’s “Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto” serial directed by Naresh Malhotra. In June 2012, Devoleena Bhattacharjee was caste overnight for the role of Gopi in Star Plus Serial “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” after replaced Giaa Manek. She gained much appreciation and popularity from this serial. The show ended on 23 July 2017 after 7 successful years.
In 2018, She had signed for a lead role in Optimus Productions new TV serial “Kuch Naye Rishte” which will air on Colors TV.
