Manohar Parrikar Education:
He has done schooling from Loyola High School, Margao and New Goa High School, Mapusa, Goa and earned a Metallurgical Engineering degree from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay.
Manohar Parrikar Political Career:
At a very young age, he joined the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and also became the chief instructor in the final years of his schooling.
He started his political career in the year 1994 when he became MLA in the Goa Assembly.
First time in 2000, he became the Chief Minister of Goa and till continue to 2005.
In 2012, he was declared the Chief Minister again, but he resigned from the post as he had to moved to Delhi in November 2014 because PM Narendra Modi named Manohar Parrikar for the post of Defence Minister of India.
In March 2017, Manohar Parrikar resigned as the Defence Minister of India and was sworn in as Chief Minister of Goa.
On 27 October 2018, Vishwajit Rane, Health Minister of Goa announced that he has been suffering from pancreatic cancer.

In 1981, he was married to “Medha Parrikar” but she died in 2001. They have two sons named “Utpal Parrikar”, who is an Electrical Engineer and “Abhijat Parrikar”, who is a local businessman.
Manohar Parrikar Death:
He died on 17 March 2019 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. After his death, Pramod Sawant is the new Chief Minister of Goa.
