Meera Sanyal was a CEO and Chairperson of Royal Bank of Scotland in India. She joined the Aam Aadmi Party and also stand as a candidate in the 2014 Lok Sabha Selections from South Mumbai but she defeated from there. She served as a non-executive director on the board of Pradan, an Indian NGO which works for women empowerment. She was the former Chairperson of the Indian Advisory Board of AIESEC.
