Naba Das Death:
Naba Kishore Das, Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, was fired at by an assistant sub-inspector of police in Jharsuguda district on Sunday. Das was shot in the chest and was taken to the hospital.
The minister is reported to be in critical condition. He is being taken to Jharsuguda airport, from which Das would be flown to Bhubaneswar. The health minister will be sent to Apollo hospital for additional treatment.
When the minister stepped out of his car in Gandhi Square, the cop fired at least four to five shots. Locals grabbed the accused, ASI, and gave him over to the police.
The event occurred in the district’s Brajrajnagar town while the minister was on his way to a meeting.
ASI Gopal Das was identified as the cop. The exact reason for the termination has yet to be determined.
