Raamdeo Agrawal was born into a Marwari middle-class family. Raamdeo is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He grew raised in a village in Chhattisgarh. He traveled to Mumbai to study to become a chartered accountant.
Raamdeo Agrawal studied chartered accounting in Mumbai before starting his career as a sub-broker in 1987. His family owns approximately 36% of Motilal Oswal Financial Services, which he co-founded. He co-wrote the book Corporate Numbers Game with Ram K Piparia in 1986. He is also the author of The Art of Wealth Creation.
