Sapna Gill Controversy with Prithvi Shaw:

The Mumbai police arrested Gill on February 16, 2023, for reportedly hitting batsman Prithvi Shaw’s car outside a luxury hotel in Santacruz.

According to the complaint, the fight started at a luxury hotel near Mumbai Airport when two fans, Sapna Gill and Shobhit Thakur, approached the cricketer for a selfie. As they refused to back down and demanded more photos, Shaw called a friend and the hotel management to have the fans removed.

After being kicked out, the fans waited outside for Prithvi and, armed with baseball bats, mobbed Shaw, according to the complaint.

When Prithvi and his friend left the hotel, they followed him, intercepted him at a traffic light near Oshiwara, and broke the windscreen. They also wanted Rs 50,000 and threatened to file a fake police report.
