Vikram Gokhale was Known for his performances in Marathi theatre, Hindi films, and television. He was the son of the veteran Marathi theater and film actor, Chandrakant Gokhale. He became well-known for his performances as M. S. Gaitonde in the Hindi movie Agneepath (1990), Khuda Gawah (1992), Pundit Darbar in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Acharya Yagyaprakash Bharti in Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Paramjeet Singh Lamba in De Dana Dan (2009). Vikram Gokhale Career:

According to Vikram Gokhale, he never considered pursuing an acting profession after receiving his official schooling. He passed the SSB and PSB tests to join the Indian Air Force, but he was unable to do so for tragic circumstances. The PSB test is now known as the PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test). Later, he accepted a position as a clerk at a private company, earning a salary of Rs 135 per month, but he left the position within a week of starting it because he realized that a private corporate job lacked his enthusiasm.

After quitting his work, Vikram began acting in Marathi plays and theatrical productions on the advice of actor, playwright, and director Balakrishna Hari Kolhatkar. He appeared in plays such as Katha, Ke Dil Abhi Bhara Nahi, Jawai Majha Bhala, and many others for a short period of time while performing in theatre. Vikram made the decision to stop acting in 2016 after enduring a protracted throat.

Vikram made his Bollywood debut in 1971 with the movie Parwana, in which he played a young police officer.

He made his Marathi film debut with Varhadi Ani Vajantri in 1973.

Vikram made his Gujarati film debut in 1979 with the release of Aapo Jadro.

Vikram made his Tamil cinema debut in 2009 with Kalavaramaye Madilo, in which he played Rao.

He starred in some well-known movies, such as Bang Bang! (2014) as Narayanan, Aiyaary (2018) as Pratap Malik (Hindi), Anumati (2013) as Ratnakar, Aamhi Bolato Marathi (2014), and AB Aani CD (2020) as Chandrakant Deshpande.

Along with his wife, Vikram played Prataprao Pathwardhan in the Marathi television programme Shwetambara in 1983.

Vikram rose to stardom in the Hindi television business in 1990 thanks to his leading role as Akbar in the Zee TV series Akbar Birbal.

Vikram Gokhale Family:

On November 14, 1945, Gokhale was born in Pune, Bombay Presidency. His grandmother Kamlabai Gokhale (then known as Kamlabai Kamat) was the first female child performer in Indian film, and his great-grandmother Durgabai Kamat was the first female actor on the Indian screen.  Chandrakant Gokhale, his father, was a seasoned Marathi actor who appeared in over 70 Marathi and Hindi movies.

His mother, Hemavati Gokhle, was a homemaker. Vikram has a younger brother, and a younger sister, Aparajita Munje.

Vikram married Indian actress Vrushali Gokhale on May 12, 1975. They have two daughters who are both married: Nisha Kekar Adav and Neha Gokhale Sundriyal.

Vikram Gokhale Death:

Gokhale stopped theatrical performance in February 2016 owing to a throat condition, but he maintained his film career. On November 24, 2022, he was hospitalized in Pune, where he passed dead on November 26, 2022.
