Ajay Tamta is a BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) member of Uttarakhand State. He is currently serving as the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Textiles and MP (Member of Parliament) from Almora Constituency.
He won the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Elections in 2012 from Someshwar, Almora.
He also won the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Almora by defeating INC Candidate Pradeep Tamta.
Ajay Tamta is going to fight 2019 Lok Sabha Elections again from Almora Seat.
