Ajit Doval Education:
He did schooling from Ajmer Military School, Ajmer, Rajasthan and completed his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Agra. He also awarded an honorary doctorate for his contribution in the field of security matters in science and literature from Agra University in 2017 and Kumaon University in 2018.
Ajit Doval Career:
In 1968, he Joined the IPS (Indian Police Services) in Kerala Cadre. He was involved in anti-insurgency operations in Mizoram and Punjab.
He was part of the negotiators who negotiated the release of passengers from IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999.
From 2004 to 2005, he served as the Director of IB (Intelligence Bureau).
During the “Mizo National Front Insurgency”, Ajit Doval won over six of Laldenga’s seven commanders, which aimed at establishing a potentate state for Mizos.
In 1988, he was behind the rescue of a Romanian Diplomat “Liviu Radu” who was captured by KLF (Khalistan Liberation Force).
Ajit Doval retired from the Intelligence Bureau in January 2005.
In December 2009, he became the founder director of the “Vivekananda International Foundation”.
On 30 May 2014, he was appointed as India’s fifth National Security Advisor.
