Kapil Sharma came into limelight after winning the Comedy Show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2007, where he won a 10 Lakh Cash Prize. He was rejected for the same show in his first audition, but in Delhi Audition, he got selected there and eventually became the winner. After that, he participated in “Comedy Circus” & consecutively won the six seasons of that show.
In 2013, Kapil Sharma launched his own show “Comedy Nights with Kapil”, under his production house K9. He also hosted many big award shows like 60th, 61th, 62nd Film Fare Awards, Star Guild Awards.
In 2015, Kapil Sharma made his debut in the movie “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” under the direction of Abbas Mustan After the end of “Comedy Nights with Kapil”, he started another comedy show “The Kapil Sharma Show” which was aired on Sony & received a great response from the viewers.

In 2015, during an event of International Marathi Film Festival, he was accused of misbehaving with his female co-stars (Tanisha Mukherjee, Monali Thakur, Deepali Sayyad). Initially, he refused all the allegations but later he tweeted “I Fall, I Rise, I make Mistakes, I Live, I Learn, I’ve been hurt but I am alive. I am human, I am not perfect but I am thankful”.
Kapil & his crew walked out from Cricket League on the first half & he was reportedly paid 1.25 Crores for host the extra innings.
