Kulbhushan Jadhav Career:
Kulbhushan Jadhav joined the National Defence Academy in 1987 and was assigned to engineering branch in Indian Navy in 1991. According to the Pakistan government, he has been working for RAW since 2003 and also believed that his involvement in dissident activities in Balochistan and Karachi. He was arrested in Mashkel, Balochistan on charges of spying for the RAW (Research and Analysis Wing). Later, he shifted to Islamabad for interrogation.
On 29 March 2016, the Pakistani government release an alleged confessional video of Kulbhushan Jadhav, where he confessed he is being a part of RAW (Research And Analysis Wing). Indian Government claimed that fake video was made by Pakistan to defame India.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was sentenced to death by the Pakistani Military Court on 10 April 2017 even without having clear evidence against him. Later, Indian Government warned Pakistan for this decision and also canceled the release of Pakistani prisoners.
On 17 July 2019, International Court of Justice asked Pakistan to start fresh hearing in the case. ICJ also rejected India’s appeal for Jadhav’s release. Harish Salve fought this case and charge only 1 rupee as a fee
