Peter Sloly is a former Deputy Chief of TPS (Toronto Police Service). On 25 August 2019, he has been appointed as Ottawa’s new police Chief and becomes the first black person to lead OPS (Ottawa Police Service).
He was born in Jamaica and served with Toronto police for 27 years. After his resignation from police service, he was hired as National Security Consultant for Deloitte.
Before becoming a Police Officer, he played Soccer for Canada’s Under 20 team.
