Prakash Pant Education:
He completed Intermediate in 1977 and earned his Graduation in Pharmacy from Dwarahat, Almora.
Prakash Pant Political Career:
In the initial stage of his career, he worked in government service, but later he resigned and joined politics in 1977. He was elected as the member of the Municipal Council of Pithoragarh in 1978. He was the first speaker of the Uttarakhand State Assembly.
In the year 2002 and 2007, he was elected to the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly from Pithoragarh Constituency. He again won the election from the same constituency in 2017.
Apart from politics, he was also an ace-shooter. He won the state shooting championship in 2004 and also got a silver medal in the National Level Shooting Championship in the same year.

Prakash Pant Death:
He died on 5 July 2019 after a prolonged illness in the US. A three-day state mourning has been declared in Uttarakhand after his death.
