R’Bonney Gabriel Career:
Gabriel earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design with a minor in fibers from the University of North Texas. She now works as a model and as a designer of eco-friendly apparel.
Her first journey into pageantry came when she competed in Miss Kemah USA 2020, where she finished in the top five. She competed as Miss Harris County in Miss Texas USA 2021, becoming first runner-up to Victoria Hinojosa of McAllen.
She was elected Miss Texas USA 2022 and went on to represent Texas at Miss USA 2022, where she was crowned Miss USA 2022, making her the first Miss USA of Filipino origin.
She represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2022 competition as Miss USA 2022. She was named Miss Universe 2022 by outgoing titleholder Harnaaz Sandhu of India, becoming the pageant’s ninth American winner. Her triumph also made her the first American representative to win Miss Universe since Olivia Culpo at Miss Universe 2012.
