Tirath Singh Rawat is an Indian Politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. He was former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand State after replacing Trivendra Singh Rawat on 10 March 2021. Tirath Singh Rawat was born on 9 April 1964 in Sinro, Patti Ashwalsiu, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He was an MLA from Chaubttakhal Constituency from 2012 to 2017. Tirath Singh Rawat Political Career:
He belongs to a middle-class family and always had an interest in politics and social activities. He has served the Vice President position of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Uttar Pradesh.
He was elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council in 1997.
He was the first Education Minister of newly formed Uttarakhand State.
He was appointed State General Secretary of Uttarakhand in 2007. Later in 2012, he was elected as an MLA from Chaubttakhal Constituency.
He served the position of Uttarakhand BJP chief from 9 February 2013 to 31 December 2015.
He was elected as M.P. from the Pauri Lok Sabha seat on 23 May 2019.
On 10 March 2021, he appointed as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand State.
On 02 July 2021, he resigned from his Chief Minister Post.
