Jimmy Banks was an American Soccer Player. He played as a defender and also made two appearances for the US at the FIFA World Cup 1990.
Jimmy Banks had 36 international appearances from 1986 to 1991. He did not play in the opening loss to Czechoslovakia at the 1990 World Cup, then was inserted into the lineup following Eric Wynalda’s red card in the opener and started in losses to Italy and Austria.
The United States had qualified first time in the soccer’s showcase since 1950 where Jimmy Banks and Desmond Armstrong were the two First two African Americans to make a U.S. World Cup roster.
From 1987-93, Jimmy Banks played for Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer Association
He also coached the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1999-2019.

Jimmy Banks Death:
He died on 26 April 2019 due to pancreatic cancer at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
