Mazahir Saidu is a professional arm wrestler who was born in India and grew up in the UAE. Despite his success in the sport, Saidu’s arm wrestling career has not always been stable. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and had to take time off from arm wrestling to complete his studies.
Saidu’s arm wrestling journey started in 2011, but due to his studies, he had to take a break from the sport from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, he made a comeback and won the national championship in the 90kg category in India. The following year, in 2016, Saidu won the UAE championship in the heavyweight division.
After his win in 2016, Saidu had to once again take a break from arm wrestling to pursue higher studies. He returned to the sport in December 2019 and has been competing ever since.
