Waris Pathan Political Career:
Waris Pathan joined the law profession in August 1991. Later he joined All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimen party and was elected as an MLA from Byculla (Mumbai) assembly.
Waris Pathan was suspended from the Maharashtra Assembly on 16 March 2016 on charges of disrespecting the country. He also contested the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election 2019 from Byculla (Mumbai) Assembly but was defeated by Shiv Sena Party Member “Yamini Yashwant Jadhav”.
